Terms and Conditions


1. Cancellation Communication: A cancellation must be communicated in writing between the email address specified in your booking and our email: hello@thistravel.net.


2. Cancellation by Us: We reserve the right to cancel a customer's booking for a full refund in the following cases: 1) Thailand's governmental policies to control the spread of COVID-19 viruses, 2) bad weather, 3) unforeseen events or acts of God, and 4) an insufficient number of travelers. You will receive a 100% refund. We will issue a 95% refund to your original method of payment within 14 business days. The remaining 5% will be delivered to your preferred method of payment (such as PayPal) within 14-28 business days. We are responsible for the cost of the payment gateway fee if the cancellation is made by us.


3. Cancellation by You: There are two types of cancellation policies:


A) Flexible Cancellation Policy: Tours eligible for this policy include ready-made tour packages that operate for 12 travelers or fewer. To receive a refund, you must cancel at least 48 hours before the experience's start time. If you cancel less than 48 hours before the experience's start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded, but we will accommodate your request for minor itinerary changes when possible. The experience's start time is displayed on your tickets after booking. The cut-off times are based on our local time [GMT+07: Thailand].


A1) Direct Booking: If your booking qualifies for our 48-hour flexible cancellation policy, you will receive less than 95% refund to your bank account within 14 business days. Please note that the payment gateway fee of 5% is neither refundable to the customers nor to us (the merchant). The total amount of your refund will be below 95%, after accounting for a reasonable compensation payment to our guide and driver reserved for your travel date, financial transfer costs charged by both our intermediary bank and yours, and any fluctuations in the exchange rate that might impact the refund amount. A return of refund due to your inaccurate bank account will be charged in next refund. An unclaimed refund after 1 year of its processing date will be forfeited.  For direct bookings, your tour can be customized to some extent (i.e., adding extra destinations after the last destination of the ready-made packaged tour). Alternatively, you may receive a special price (i.e., a percentage discount off the regular price) for your direct booking.


A2) OTA Booking: If your booking is through an OTA (online travel agent such as Viator, TripAdvisor, and GetYourGuide), please refer to its cancellation and refund policies. Many OTAs (such as Viator, TripAdvisor, GetYourGuide, and Civitates) have a 24-hour flexible cancellation policy. For an OTA booking, your tour is usually our standard package listed on an OTA.


B) Standard Cancellation Policy: Tours eligible for this policy include any tour package that operates for 12 travelers or more, a fully-customized tour package, or a tour package that we heavily depends on our suppliers (including but not limit to: a chartered bus tour, a dinner cruise, an open-zoo tour, a prepaid lunch to a restaurant). If you request a cancellation 14 days before your departure date, you will receive less than 95% refund to your bank account within 14 business days (with a similar processing fee per our A1) Direct Booking terms written above). On the other hand, it's essential to highlight that if you wish to cancel the tour within 14 days of the departure date, a 100% cancellation fee will be applied, resulting in no refund.


4. Accident Insurance: Please ensure that your full name in your booking is spelled correctly as written in your passport so that our insurance policy covers your entire trip with us. Our insurer has the right to refuse your claim if the provided full name does not match your passport.
